Cash App Ads Manager
Context
Advertisements assist merchants in attracting more customers and increasing sales. Currently, at Cash App, all ad launches are set up and managed using four different third-party tools. On average, it takes 2 days to launch an ad using the current tooling infrastructure and over 2 months to onboard new members to the operational flow.
As we continue to introduce new products with new forms of advertisements, we require a simple and unified platform for creating, reviewing, and managing ads across all product types.
Problem
Challenges posed by four different third-party tools:
Need to create accounts/give permissions to different individuals.
Must switch between tools at different stages to proceed to the next step.
Complicated and lengthy forms to fill out in the Toolbox to create an ad.
Complete reliance on the Ads Ops team. Not ideal for expanding and externalizing to merchants to self-serve and launch their own incentives.
Takes 2 days to launch and 2 months to onboard new members to the operational flow.

Design a simple and unified platform to create, review, and manage ads for internal teams and Cash App Merchants.
Reduce the time to launch ads from 2 days to 2 hours.
Decrease QA time per ad by more than 50%.
